I was really excited because I got to draw my favorite pet! Which was of course Darcy… who is also my only pet. But she would still be my favorite.

For some reason I decide that a ballpoint pen really spoke to me today, saying “use me, because I am right here and you won’t have to get up and get another pen.” Laziness was not the only reason it spoke to me, because sometimes I like to draw with ballpoint pens because it just goes to show that you don’t need expensive materials to make art. HOWEVER. It smudges. This is not a problem if you don’t, oh I don’t know, smudge it. Conversely, felt tip pens such as Micron or Prismacolor tend to dry very quickly, which is good if you are messy like me!

I’ve always found dogs pretty difficult to draw! I’ve always been more of a horse-drawing gal myself.
