Today was draw a close up of bark. Which involved being kinda detailed. I tried it with charcoal, but wasn’t completely successful. I thought it was really terrible, but when I came back to it, I didn’t hate it. Something I always forget is that sometimes you need to step away from your art, let it simmer for a while, and look at it with a fresh eye. Regardless, it was a great excuse to sit outside and draw! And it was actually pretty cool today, even though Louisiana summer is a-comin’ soon.
